Context

San Francisco pop artist Xavier Toscano is known for high-energy tracks that blend pop and EDM influences. His single The Remedy (Feel Alright) was released in 2021 as a statement of joy and uplift — a reminder that music and movement can be the cure.

The Performance

The video placed Xavier and his dancers inside a featureless cyc, turning the blank canvas into a living environment. With carefully programmed lighting and movement, the performances stood out against a world defined almost entirely by laser light.

Laser Design

We introduced Laser Banding — a technique that syncs laser pulses with the camera to create surreal, segmented beams. Multicolored lasers cut through the empty space, wrapping performers in shifting grids and geometric textures. A centerpiece of the design was Xavier’s iconic “X”, drawn entirely in laser light — a striking mark of identity that tied the visuals directly to him. The lasers became both backdrop and structure, giving the performers a stage made of light itself.

Reception

The video premiered through Muzique Magazine and quickly drew praise for its “psychedelic lights” and “adrenaline-charged atmosphere.” Fans called the visuals “fire” and celebrated the energy it delivered. Within the industry, the International Laser Display Association awarded The Remedy 2nd Place in the Edited Film/TV/Video category, recognizing its innovative use of laser banding.

Outcome

Lasers gave The Remedy its defining pulse — transforming a blank cyc into a world of energy, branding the imagery with Xavier’s “X,” and delivering the electrifying mood that both artist and audience were looking for.
